Brand Development

Client: Duvall Farmers Market
Audience: Local Families & Tourists

Nestled in the scenic Snoqualmie Valley, Duvall is a charming small town where thousands of commuters cross the iconic 124th bridge daily. For those returning from the hustle of nearby cities, the bridge represents the feeling of coming home. When I volunteered to develop a brand strategy for the Duvall Farmers Market, I wanted to capture that sense of relief and belonging.

The sky-blue bridge became the focal point of the market’s branding, symbolizing homecoming for locals and a welcoming gesture for visitors. To give the brand an authentic, handmade feel, we created a graphic style inspired by linocut prints, paired with a custom serif font that reflects the hand-painted lettering on Duvall’s welcome signs. These elements formed the visual identity that tied the market to its community roots.

Posters featuring the new branding were displayed in local businesses, strategically reaching the audience most invested in supporting local vendors. Thanks to a grant from the City of Duvall, we also installed a banner in the heart of downtown, reinforcing the call to "shop local" against the backdrop of the valley’s beauty.
